My Journey
Hey, I'm Shal.
I'm known for imagery that's vibrant, different and at times gritty. I love to convey a sense of motion where possible and I'm always seeking a unique perspective.
I picked up my first camera over 10 years ago, and fell in love with it, or perhaps it's the fact that my OCD is continually chasing the "Hero Shot."
I'm currently living out of my 2018 Ford Transit van and trying to live a life a little different. When I'm not roaming around, you'll find me based in the sunny Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty.
MY PURPOSE
Adventure is Calling!
My purpose is to capture moments that move — from the rush of motorsport to the raw beauty of a brand campaign shot outdoors or high up a mountain. I’m driven to create bold, story-rich visuals that elevate products and people in their element, connecting brands to audiences through imagery that inspires, disrupts, and sticks.
I'm inspired by those who just "do." Those who live differently and those who dare to reach. I love the outdoors — trail running, hiking and more recently, climbing. Combining this with photography and video, is my happy place.
